Prayers, words and writtings of Marthe Robin
Read the "Journal"
Written between 1929 and 1932 at the request of the parish priest of Châteauneuf-de-Galaure, these writings reveal the depth of faith of a young woman who is seeking the meaning of her life. They reveal the intensity of her relationship with God and give us a glimpse of the inner journey of Marthe Robin between the ages of 27 and 30.
Presentation of the "Journal"
For the first time, Marthe Robin's inner journey has been released thanks to the publication of her unabridged "Journal".
In reading the pages of the "Journal", you get an idea of Marthe Robin's attitude to the illness that affected her and the permanent life choice she made at that time: to believe in the love of God and surrender herself to it.
Marthe knew and wanted to believe, against all opposition, that God is good, that he was her Father and that he loved her. Her basic attitude was one of trust in God, certain in the knowledge that she was loved by God even though she was physically and morally broken. Our Lady was always with her in this surrender to God. She was the driving force that energised her and sustained her.
When she wrote this Journal, Marthe had already been fighting the disease for more than 10 years. At the heart of her suffering, the love she received transfigured her life. The confidence, joy and hope, with which these words are infused, open up a path of light for anyone facing adversity.
